The consortium "Fomento de la investigación oncológica por parte de organizaciones benéficas en Europa" is a network of 14 European charitable organisations from 11 European countries joining forces to support pragmatic clinical trials addressing important unmet medical needs in oncology in Europe. The grants and corresponding funding for research teams in Spain under the calls of the European FORCE consortium FORCE are funded by the Fundación Científica de la Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer.
The first call for proposals of the European FORCE consortium aims to support international pragmatic clinical trials designed to optimise diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for patients with rare or difficult-to-treat cancers, while strengthening the integration of robust and relevant evidence generation for decision-making in heterogeneous clinical settings. Particular emphasis is placed on the systematic incorporation of quality of life as a core component of trial evaluation.
