EUROPEAN ATHEROSCLEROSIS SOCIETY
The EAS Anitschkow Prize is the most prestigious distinction awarded by the European Atherosclerosis Society to outstanding scientists in the field of atherosclerosis and related metabolic disorders. Since its creation in 2007, 18 awards have been granted to extraordinary individuals in this field.
The award recipient receives the Anitschkow Medal, a prize of ten thousand euros in recognition of their contribution to the study of atherosclerosis, presents the Anitschkow Lecture as part of the Opening Ceremony of the EAS Congress and is invited to write a review for the Society’s journal, Atherosclerosis .
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Recognised for their research in the area of atherosclerosis and related metabolic disorders.
- To date, they have made novel and outstanding contributions and have had a significant impact on the discipline.
- They have an excellent publication record in the area of atherosclerosis.
- They are currently an active researcher.
