1st Hospital Manufacturing Conference for Custom-Made Medical Devices. 3D Printing at the Point of Care - 28 Oct., 9:00 a.m.
Gregorio Marañón University General Hospital has the pleasure of inviting you to the “1st Hospital Manufacturing Day for Custom-Made Medical Devices. 3D Printing at the Point of Care”, which will be held on 28 October 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Assembly Hall of Hospital Materno-Infantil Gregorio Marañón.
The main objective of this event is to present the new paradigm of manufacturing custom-made medical devices based on the experience of our hospital’s Advanced Planning and 3D Manufacturing Unit, which has been in operation since 2015. The process applied follows the point-of-care innovation model, based on the medical prescription of a custom-made solution, integrating design as a fundamental part of the healthcare process for therapeutic planning. The event will present updates to the regulatory framework, successful examples of the integration of high-tech healthcare into the 3D process following collaborative models and partnerships with manufacturers, as well as surgical cases involving custom-made implants designed at the hospital itself.
