The 12th Annual Research and Innovation Conference of the IiSGM will take place on 21 and 22 October.
The Gregorio Marañón Health Research Institute (IiSGM) is holding its 12th Annual Research and Innovation Conference on 21 and 22 October, in the Aula Magna del Pabellón Docente "Profesor Alberto Tejedor". The aim of the event is to recognise the scientific work carried out at the institution, providing a shared space to exchange research and innovation experiences and results within the Institute, both with the research community and the general public.
On the first day of the conference, from 8:00 to 15:00, the scientific and financial results of the Institute and the Foundation for Biomedical Research of Gregorio Marañón Hospital (FIBHGM) will be presented, together with the oral presentations selected for two sessions, as well as the electronic posters. There will also be a round table on nursing research and a guest lecture on research in Europe, in addition to the traditional awards ceremony.
On the second day, from 11:00 to 13:00, there will be an open scientific outreach event aimed at the public under the title "Is cancer hereditary?". Through four presentations, attendees will learn more about the genetic basis of cancer, genetic predisposition to developing it, physical activity and prevention, as well as healthy habits that have a positive impact in this regard.
