10/12 ENRIQUE FUENTES QUINTANA AWARD DOCTORAL THESES IN HEALTH SCIENCES
The Enrique Fuentes Quintana Awards aim to recognise excellent and rigorous doctoral work. For this purpose, the Enrique Fuentes Quintana Award for the 2015–2016 academic year is announced in the Health Sciences category.
Requirements:
Doctoral theses in the fields of Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Veterinary Science, Psychology, Nursing or Medicine may be eligible for this award if they have obtained, unanimously, the highest grade established under the regulations in force at the time of their defence, including the cum laude distinction.
The thesis must have been defended between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016.
Theses that have received funding or have been awarded a prize by other institutions may not be considered for the Award. This excludes the extraordinary award granted by the university at which the thesis was defended, pre-doctoral grants, Formación de Profesorado Universitario (FPU) grants and Formación de Personal Investigador (FPI) grants, or other similar grants at the discretion of the jury at national or foreign universities.
The thesis submitted may only compete for the Award in the Health Sciences category; those submitted in more than one category will not be admitted. The selection of the category is the sole responsibility of the award candidate.
Theses must be submitted in Spanish or English. Theses submitted in any other language may not be candidates for the award. Spanish doctoral graduates may participate, regardless of the country in which they defended their thesis, and must provide certificates confirming the equivalence of the grade obtained to the cum laude grade. Likewise, foreign doctoral graduates who have submitted their doctoral theses at Spanish teaching or research institutions may participate. Registration and submission deadline
Registration for the Award must be completed exclusively through the registration form, which must be duly completed. Applications that have not provided all the required information or documents will not be accepted.
The submission deadline is 31 December 2016 at 23:59
