Coordinators: Francisco Javier López Longo, Indalecio Monteagudo

Rheumatology Department, Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón.

Gregorio Marañón Health Research Institute. Complutense University of Madrid.

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a systemic disease characterised by a wide variety of clinical manifestations and, without a doubt, an extremely heterogeneous and multifaceted condition with regard to its pathophysiology and presentation. The Rheumatology Department and the Biomedical Research Institute of the Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón are offering a theoretical and practical course, sharing our basic and clinical experience in order to update, in an informative and engaging way, the immunological, clinical and imaging concepts applied to SLE. We will also review the current scientific evidence relating to pregnancy, neurological and renal clinical manifestations, the most common comorbidities and the applicability of treatment with the available monoclonal antibodies. We hope to have the opportunity, together with our multidisciplinary team, to welcome you to our centre during this event and thus contribute to making your participation in this forum as fruitful and enjoyable as possible.

Venue: Room 2, ground floor of the Maternal and Child building. HGUGM.

Dates: Thursday 15 December (16:00–19:30) and Friday 16 December (9:30–18:00) 2016

Registration: Those interested should please contact Dr F. J. López-Longo, fjlopezlongo(ELIMINAR)@hotmail.com, to confirm their attendance, up to one week before the event.
